Troubleshooting and FAQs
Q: I'm having password issues.
A: Make sure you’re using your work email address and the password we sent you. If that doesn’t work:
- Try the “Reset Password” link on the app’s sign-in page
- Use Automatic Login feature on the sign-in page and a link will be sent to you via email to automatically login to the app
Q: I don’t see the workshop schedule in the app
A: Only attendees who registered for a workshop will see it on the app. Go to “Agenda” and click the “My Agenda” tab to see your workshop schedule.
Q: How do I change my password?
A: To change your password, you need to reset it. To do this, log out of the app, and then click the “Reset password” link on the password page. You’ll receive an email with instructions on resetting your password.
Q: I’m having trouble adding my social networks in my account. What’s up?
A: You need to give LinkedIn/Facebook permission to access the VC Events app. Go to your phone’s settings, and look for the social network in question to do this. If you already have your credentials listed, you might need to re-enter it. Give the app permission to access your account.
Q: I don’t use an Android or Apple phone. How can I access the app?
A: The HTML5 version might work for you if you have a mobile browser. Try the HTML5 link from this page: https://bit.ly/SummitApp2017
Q: How do I get points for the leaderboard?
A: You can get points by engaging in the app: posting photos, sharing your takeaways in the newsfeed, rating sessions, etc.
